Continuing my late 2019 push into tattoo design, I curated a dedicated flash sheet paying homage to The Simpsons. Rather than sticking strictly to the main family, I chose characters that offered incredible texture, expressive anatomy, or a slightly darker, cult-classic charm.

From Sideshow Bob’s massive, dot-heavy hair to the clean curves of Kang/Kodos in an astronaut helmet, this page was an absolute masterclass in value control.

Hand-inked by combining heavy, graphic line profiles with meticulous micro-stippling. Sideshow Bob’s voluminous hair and the textured scales of Blinkey the three-eyed fish required hours of patient dot placement to establish proper form.

Tattoo flash needs to be instantly recognizable but uniquely styled. Taking universally known designs like Itchy, Scratchy, and Mr. Burns and running them through my personal stippling lens gave me massive confidence in defining my own artistic voice as a designer.
