Freddy Krueger
When my MacBook unexpectedly died, I had to completely pivot my workflow. This piece marks two massive firsts for me: my first ever full-scale portrait in the stipple style, and my very first venture into digital drawing. Stepping away from physical paper, I opted for an iPad and a budget $25 Kmart stylus to see how far I could push the medium.
The red textured layer started purely as a functional outline so I could map out the depth, but it brought an accidental element of color theory to the piece that felt too fitting to erase. An ongoing test of patience, translation, and adaptation.
Still working on this one :)
